If you need a location to have your pet portraits taken, several dog parks are available in the greater Treasure Valley. These parks offer areas where your pet can run free and natural light portraiture can take place.
When taking an outdoor portrait, we will schedule appointments during the “Golden Hour” of the day. These are early or late times during the day when the sun is less harsh and shadows are soft.
The design of Idaho’s dog parks caters specifically to the needs of dogs and their owners. Features such as separate areas for different-sized dogs, agility equipment, water stations, and shaded seating areas ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. Together Treasure Valley Dog Island is located in the southwest corner of Ann Morrison Park Together Treasure Valley Dog Island opened in 2019 in an area of Ann Morrison Park formerly known as Duck Island.
The dog-centric space is making tails wag and local dog owners happier than ever. Unlike other local dog parks, Dog Island does not have separate sections for small and large dogs. It’s up to owners to determine where their dogs will function best. The primary dog-oriented park space features multiple benches for owners and two covered picnic structures. There is also a “dog beach” with a ramp that makes it easy for puppies to get in and out of the water. It’s the biggest dog park in Boise, a city with the highest percentage of dog ownership in the nation.

Storey Dog Park in Meridian, Idaho, spans 2.25 acres and is fully enclosed. It offers distinct areas for large and small dogs, shaded shelters, and a restroom facility. The park is equipped with drinking fountains for both people and pets, agility equipment, paved paths, diverse ground surfaces, benches, mutt mitt stations, and dog-themed street signs.

Amity Dog Park in Nampa, ID, is a welcoming spot where both dogs and their owners can enjoy exercise and social time.
Spanning six acres, the park features off-leash play areas designed to accommodate dogs of various sizes. There are distinct sections for large dogs and smaller or older dogs. Visitors will appreciate the fully fenced park, which includes wide grassy spaces, walking paths, water fountains for both dogs and people, shaded shelters, trees, benches, and plenty of parking spaces.
