Image Ownership, Copyright, and Usage Policy

All images created by Idaho Photography Studios are the result of intellectual creativity and are considered original works of authorship. As such, they are protected under U.S. copyright law (Title 17, U.S. Code) and applicable state regulations.

Ownership & Rights:
Idaho Photography Studios retains full ownership and copyright to all images produced. Purchasing photography services does not transfer copyright ownership; rather, a license for use is granted according to the terms outlined in our agreements.

Unauthorized Use:
Any reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of our images in any form—print, digital, or electronic—without prior written consent constitutes copyright infringement and is a violation of federal law under 17 U.S.C. § 501. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Use on websites, social media, or marketing materials without licensing
  • Unauthorized alterations, edits, or enhancements
  • Distribution to third parties without permission

Violations may result in legal action, including claims for statutory damages and attorney fees as permitted under 17 U.S.C. § 504.
